Glenstriven Estate Shooting

Often described as the ‘forgotten area of Argyll’ the 5,000 acre Glenstriven Estate lies in the beautiful unspoilt Cowal Peninsula. This is an exceptional Highland experience and we offer first class shooting and hospitality to teams of guests from around the world. With Partridge shooting from early September and a mix of Pheasant and partridge through to late January.

Our head game keeper, Jack Smith, has been with the estate for 22 years and through his hard work and dedication has created a true highland experience to savour.

Glenstriven takes full advantage of the variety of terrain here including steep ground, hills, woodland, gorse and gullies. The variety of habitat, tall conifers, birch banks and craggy cliffs also help produce Pheasant of superior quality.

Ian has produced a world class shoot which has won a prestigious Purdey award. The birds are challenging, not just because they are exceptionally high, but precise positioning of gun pegs and exciting terrain are also factored in.

The array of birds is fantastic, high curling birds, coming off crags, wild Pheasants over tree tops and some extreme Pheasants at such drives as ‘Rio Grande’ with Loch Striven as a back drop, the scenery is quite spectacular. There are over 24 drives to choose from. Locations and variety are abundant with more being created.

The estate offer the following shooting packages:
